Nia "Storm" Gilliam
Nia "Storm" Gilliam is a Senior Musical Theater Major, Chemistry and Aerospace studies double minor from Brooklyn, NY.
Ms. Gilliam has performed at venues such as the Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center with renowned companies such as "The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater". She has also been invited to perform and workshop in Europe.
Ms. Gilliam is a trained sound designer and has worked on different productions at Howard University including Eclisped, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Radio Golf.
Ms. Gilliam mentors young women and men in NYC and DC through various organizations focusing on their personal development through performing arts and creative communication. After graduation, she will commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force, all awhile constructing her non-profit organization "Timbre" which offers underprivileged minority communities creative arts therapy. She plans to continue her studies in graduate school to earn her MFA in acting and doctorate in creative arts therapy.
Ms. Gilliam thanks God and her loved ones for supporting her decision to pursue her passion in the arts.
